Mother’s Day comes around once a year, and it is always a pleasure and a burden to find the right gift to express the appropriate sentiment of love and appreciation. Do I send a bouquet of flowers, a basket of goodies, a few bottles of wine … a spa gift card??? Maybe I should just fly her down to stay with me a while so she can get a break from her nagging hubby (kidding … well, mostly kidding). 😛
Many moms will tell you it’s the thought that counts, and that is a totally true statement … but I still like to do something a little extra special to pay tribute to the amazing job she did for my brother and I when we were growing up. And if I were being honest, I certainly wasn’t the easiest child or teenager in the world!
I remember the time when I decided to pretend I was Picasso … and I painted the entire bathroom in varying shades of purple crayons. I can only imagine how my mother must have actually felt at the time … but she handled it like a champ.
There are plenty of other things I could list out, but I’ll spare you the long-winded drivel. We are have our “bad kid” moments. Maybe not as bad as mine, but moments nonetheless.
If you are looking for something for your mom too, check out some things I found:
Mother’s Day Orchid Gift TowerI love this light and cheery montage of gift boxes tied with a bow. The set contains lots of sweet goodness in it as well. You’ll find buttery shortbread cookies and signature chocolate truffles from the candy kitchen. This gift also comes with a wearable orchid corsage and a bee embellishment mom can cherish after she has eaten all the yummies included. |

Yellow and White Daisy BouquetFlowers are always a welcome ray of sunshine on Mother’s Day. This bouquet is an especially happy one … it’s fresh and uplifting with its bright yellow and white blooms. It’s very simple and warm. Of course, if you’d rather go a little more over the top with your flower selection feel free to take a gander at more of Mother’s Day offerings available. |

Relaxing Tea Gift BasketIs your mom always on the go or stressed out a lot? There’s nothing like a rich cuppa tea to help her unwind and sip her troubles away. This gift basket comes filled with tea-time necessities, including a beautiful stoneware tea for one set. A trio of teas from renowned Tazo are perfect with the Original Carlsbad Strawberry Oblaten Wafers, berry delicious Raspberry Cookies, Almond French Twists and more. Attractively tied with a pink satin ribbon. |

Ruffle Robe and Spa Gift SetMy mom is not a big spa goer so the Spa gift card didn’t make it to my list, but this is pretty cool. It’s a spa-at-home experience with an incredibly soft chenille robe (which I might steal) for the perfect snuggly moments. It also comes with Camille Beckman Silky Body Cream and Glycerine Hand Therapy. Can we say pampered? |

Toast and Celebrate Wine Gift BasketIf all else fails to spark an interest, perhaps you should think about a classy wine gift basket. This little ensemble generously features one of Napa Valley’s finest reds and a noted classic dry white wine from Australia paired with an ample selection of complementary gourmet delights including cranberry almonds, sea salt chocolates, parmesan herb cheese spread, and flatbread. Yum! |
