Street Fighter 5 Beta Servers Down
Street Fighter 5 is having a run of good luck today with the launch of its beta test: it immediately ran into problems. How is that good luck? Well, it’s a lot better to encounter issues now than when the game goes properly live. Your frustration now may result in a much smoother launch day experience.
Players began reporting problems shortly after the beta test opened its doors today, complaining of difficulties logging in. These problems turned out to be serious enough that Capcom took the test servers down entirely for a fix.
The publisher is being admirably communicative as it works to get the test running smoothly.
Update 4: The Street Fighter 5 servers have been taken down for maintenance – scheduled, apparently. They’ll be down until 1:00am PT; hopefully when they come back up we’ll see some resolution on the authentication and matchmaking issues.
Our servers will be undergoing scheduled maintenance starting from now until 1AM PDT.

We’re going to perform maintenance on 11pm(PST)/3pm(JT) to 1am(PST)/5pm(JT) for SFV. I sincerely apologize for inconvenience I have caused.

Update 3: Matchmaking fixes are inbound for those already signed into the beta but logging in is still proving difficult for everyone else.
We are currently able to authenticate user logins but are working on a fix for the matchmaking issues. Thanks for your patience.

Update 2: Some players are now able to access Training mode, but matchmaking is still out of action. Capcom is making changes every half hour to try and resolve the problems.
Many of you may be able to log into the training mode portion of the game now. We are still working to resolve the matchmaking issues.

We are still working on a fix, and are currently resetting the server and implementing changes each half hour. Thanks for your patience.

Update 1: Capcom has issued an update, but unfortunately has no ETA on a resolution for what it describes as “a lot of issues”.
Currently we are undergoing a lot of issues with users connecting to the Beta, and are working to try and address.

Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA as to when this will be fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Original story: The test was out of action for just under an hour after the initial takedown.
We are aware that users are having issues logging in, and are working to address the problem. We will provide updates as soon as possible.

We have brought the servers down for temporary fixes as of 7:25pm PST. We will make a few fixes and bring it back up ASAP.

Street Fighter 5 is coming to PC and PS4 in March 2016, with cross-play. It will offer free-to-earn DLC rather than paid expansions that render the core game out of date.
