Robert De Niro Walks Out of Interview for His New Movie “The Intern”
Due to some negatively geared questions while doing press for his new movie “The Intern”, Robert De Niro tells the interviewer “I’m not doing it, darling” then proceeds to walk out on Emma Brockes, a journalist for Radio Times.
At some point into the interview De Niro became upset with the type of questions he was being asked by Brockes and soon after asked her to pause her recorder as he attempted to make his exit.
In the midst of things, Brockes reportedly said “I think you’re very condescending” and De Niro replied, “Oh, you think ‘darling is condescending?”
Brockes later sympathized for actors, as it’s common for them to be on a grueling schedule while doing press and promotion leading up to a big film release.
“The Intern” is set to hit theaters nationwide this Friday, September 25th. Robert De Niro plays 70-year-old widower Ben Whittaker, who comes out of retirement and into the job market to become a senior intern at an online fashion site.
