The lambs at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park in southwest England will be extra stylish this spring because of their new tiny knitted jumpers.
As staff arrived at work yesterday morning, they were greeted by an anonymous package, which contained eight bright jumpers.
Perfect for the farm’s newborn lambs, who are normally covered in plastic jackets to keep them warm during the cold weather, park manager Doug Douglas said: “The main priority for lambs in the first few days, when they are at their most vulnerable, is survival. The plastic jackets that we put on them I admit are not great to look at but ultimately increase their survival by up to 50%,” according to Metro.
Adding that the new knitwear is a lot more stylish, the staff are curious to identify the person who left them the much-needed gift and say thank you.
