Two young girls escaped without injury when a driver hit another car, pushing it right into their Salem, Oregon, bedroom. Around 3 a.m. Saturday, a driver hit a parked car head-on, sending the parked car into a house, according to the Marion County Fire District.
The girls, ages 4 and 5, were sleeping, the fire department said, and the car “narrowly” missed them both.
The driver “was going extremely fast,” neighbor Amanda Davis told ABC News. “He hit my daughter’s car and shoved it into my neighbor’s yard and into the little girls’ bedroom. My daughter’s car was shoved into their house so hard that it moved [one of] the little girl’s beds about 4 or 5 feet away from where it was — with the girl in the bed.”
The girls were not injured, their mother, Daniela Ceja, told ABC News. Ceja said one of her daughters was a bit traumatized, but very brave. “We’re very thankful,” Ceja said. “We’re blessed to all be safe.”
“I praise the lord that nothing serious happened to the little girls,” Davis said. “You can replace a car, you can fix a house, but you cannot replace your child.”

The driver, a 22-year-old man, was not injured, and was arrested on alcohol-related charges, according to the Marion County Fire District. “It was just so devastating knowing what happened,” Davis said. “It was so hard to wrap my head around what this guy did.
“I’m just so grateful that the little girls are fine,” Davis added.
